UPDATE: WE HAVE TROPICAL STORM "ARTHUR"--WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

The first named storm of the season: Tropical Storm Arthur is now 95 miles SE of Cape Canaveral Florida, expected to turn to the NORTH tomorrow (Wednesday) and should pass east of Savannah/Hilton Head/Beaufort Thursday morning around 8am en route for North Carolina. Expect some rain and gusty winds but even more importantly (for visitors to our area especially) we expect very dangerous rip tides as storm passes. If you're going to be in the water be very careful...and if you feel yourself being caught in a rip tide SWIM PARALLEL TO THE SHORE, don't fight the current!!!!
